“I have two Bernese mountain dogs, Phoebe, age 2, and Paloma, age 4, and one 16-year-old tabby cat, Sammy. All are treated by the veterinarians at Paumanok. Throughout the past 4-plus years that we have had our animals treated by this hospital for either emergencies or well visits, our animals have been treated with dignity, respect, and love. Our older Bernese used to be fearful of visits and to make her more comfortable, we were invited to the office for a sunshine visit, a treat, and an ear scratch to make sure she is comfortable the next time she visits. Upon receiving treatments, we, the human parents, have been provided an education about the illness, the available treatment and options, and the plan of treatments. We always receive follow-up calls to see how our pets are days after the initial contact with the office. ”
