The word “paumanok” is a Native American word for Long Island and means “island in the shape of a fish.” Our roots are from Long Island. We want to be part of the community, and our involvement with our community is diverse and wide, from helping young people to become more aware of careers in the veterinary medicine field to raising awareness of environmental issues. We sponsor several fundraisers over the course of the year.
Paumanok’s gentle, knowledgeable staff creates a warm, friendly environment. Everyone is committed to the highest quality veterinary care. Our staff is selected with an eye toward ethics, compassion, and their conscientious approach to caring for your pet. We encourage everyone to participate in continuing education to update and expand their skills. We work together as a team to give you and your pet the best possible experience.
We’re a small hospital that's big on giving

Dr's Dee and Dave believe in passing on the good fortune that they have received, and so community service in many forms is an integral part of the Paumanok Veterinary Hospital, P.C. philosophy.
